Rani struggles to push the heavy door open to the aquarium. After a moment of little whimpers and grunts, she finally manages to move it enough to let her slim figure wriggle through. Once inside, she takes a deep breath and lets it out with a small whoosh. Who would've guessed that one of the hardest parts of trying to get a job would be simply opening the door. She covers her mouth daintily as she lets out a little laugh. Good thing there isn't anybody here. She thinks to herself. That could have easily been very embarrassing. Wouldn't want to embarrass herself so soon.

Taking another look around, a small frown tugs at her lips. Why is it so empty? She glances at a clock on the wall of the little reception area. There's nobody at the desk at the moment. Is she early? It's only 8 am. Is that too early? Her eyes start to burn. Oh dear. She's come to early, hasn't she? The girl starts to sniffle. How rude of her. No wonder there's not anybody here! It's not even opening time!

Tears start to spill from her blue eyes before she even realizes it. She pulls a lightly-coloured handkerchief from her pocket and dabs it at her leaky eyes. Rain manages to calm herself quickly before she takes a seat on a small armchair. It's okay if she's a bit early – somebody's bound to come out soon, right? Then she can just ask them to speak to the manager and tadaa! She'll have a great job! If she can't swim competitively, Rani might as well have a job around water. Silver parked her car in the 'employees only' parking lot and walked through the door that led through the reception owner. She eyed the area and her eyes came to a stop on a woman sitting in one of the arm chairs.

She must be the new employee. Rather early, but fine by me! Silver thought to herself, and made a quick stop to her office to drop off her bag and coat and grabbed her phone and made her way to the reception area.

"Hello! I'm Silver Mist, the owner of the aquarium. Are you the new employee?" Silver holds out her hand for a handshake, out of politeness.

Her skin is pale and flawless and her hair is long and dark. She looks kind of like a porcelain doll. Beautiful, yet she looks so fragile. The blonde mentally scolds herself for a moment. It's not nice to judge people before you know them. The only judgment she should really make at this moment is the fact that she has a warm smile. She seems very kind to Rani; and first impressions are very important to her. ”Hello! I'm Silver Mist, the owner of the aquarium. Are you the new employee?” A smile tilts Rani's pink lips. Silver. What a pretty name. It's odd, but she likes it. It definitely fits with her last name – Silver Mist. It just rolls of the tongue so well. The blonde stands. Wouldn't want to look lazy, would she? No. She wants to make a good impression. After all, this is all she's got at the moment. This is the job that's, hopefully, going to be her job for a long time. She loves water and fish and swimming – it seems like a good occupational choice. ”Yes I am! I believe I sent my resume over in an email, correct?” Rani asks, trying to sound professional. She sure hopes she sent it over before, because Rani doesn't have it now. It would've been a good idea to bring it. Dang it! She always manages to forget something, doesn't she? Oh well. Silver likes her already. Her name is rather pretty as well.

"You have such a pretty name! If you'll follow me, I'll take you to my office!" She leads Rani back into her office and sits down on her desk chair, and motions Rani to take a seat. (Hope you don't mind if I just made Rani sit in the chair Fantasy. Didn't think it was that bad really). Once they are both seated, she pulls out Rani's resume that she printed and scans over it real quick.

"Now I'm really picky about who I choose to work here at the aquarium, but I'm really liking this resume. When I read that you loved water, I knew you were the one so I called you. Now tell me, how much do you really want to work here?" Silver tries to look stern and bossy looking, but it feels weird and different on her so she gives up and replaces it with her warm smile. She doesn't want to frighten the girl.

She's finally going to get a job! It's been so long since she's been able to do anything, it seems like. Rani hates not being useful. It's not super impressive, considering the only other "job" she's had is an intern to a local marine biologist. That probably looks great when applying for an aquatic job. If anything her school accomplishments probably looked good. She had been the best on her swim team, winning state her senior year, as well as part of student council through her high school career. "I want to work here very badly. After my surgery I wasn't sure if I would ever swim again. I managed to convince my doctors to let me do it as long as it wasn't super strenious. Silver's smile widens, and a bit of sadness shoots through her heart. This girl is a lot like her in many ways.

"I read about the surgery and I can relate to you in many more ways than one. I was on a hospital bed for about a year. I fell into a coma for a little bit and ended up having amnesia. Still don't remember my past. Anyway, enough about me. And I like the fact that you're a fighter. I give a lot of my respect to people who don't give up, so another reason as to why I should give you this job." Silver scans through the resume once more then shuts it and puts it on her desk.

She looks up at Rani and gives her' her smile again. "I am honored to tell you Miss Havendish that you are officially working here."

Rani isn't sure how well she would fare without her memories from her childhood. She decides right then and there that she'll do everything in her power to help bring back Silver's memories. Rani's voice bubbles between her tears. She isn't sure what more she can see. She's so grateful, but, at the same time, she doesn't want to freak her new boss out. Silver freaks out mentally when Rani bursts into tears, and wonders if she did anything wrong. Then Rani calms herself down and thanks over and over again. Silver sighs in relief. Rani must be one of those people that cries over every emotion she has. (No offense to Rani). Silver smiles again, she can deal with it.

"So, would you mind giving me a tour? I would hate to get lost -- and this place looked pretty big from outside."


"of course! I'll also show you your locker to put your stuff in when you're working, and give you your work times and what you'll be doing. I think I'm going to give you the job of taking care of the fish, or if you would like to work at the gift shop. Either one is fine! Now, for that tour!" Silver stands up and makes her way to the door and opens it up, motioning Rani out with her hand, and closes it when they both are in the hall.

At first she looks a bit freaked out at the sudden burst of emotion. But she quickly seems to realize that this must be normal for Rani because she smiles. "Of course! Usually going to the boss's office isn't the best; usually it means that you are in trouble, which is not something that Rani wants to do. When she's in the small hallway, she looks to Silver. Silver has shown her at least half the building now, the only places that need to be shown are the shark tanks, gift shop, and the fish feeding room.

'These are the shark tanks. Don't worry, I have special workers that feed them. Sharks are very dangerous and we wouldn't want you to get hurt. I do every now and then but I'm so busy most of the time. I don't think you'll have to come in here a lot. The sharks are a big responsibility. Now, on to the gift shop."

Silver leads her down another hall, where fish tanks, filled with sea turtles are on the wall. When they get to the exit, a gift shop is to the right of them. Silver and Rani enter it, and Silver immediately begins talking.

"As you can see, this is the gift shop! We've got everything from stuffed animals, to clothes, stickers, cups with your name on it, jewelry, postcards, anything you name it! If we run out of anything, the storage room is in the back. If you have to come back here, make sure you list off the item you took and how many you took and why you did. I have workers come and unload it everyday and we've had a few thieves. Here's the alarm button if someone tried to steal anything or tries to kill someone but that shouldn't happen. Got it?" Silver turns her gaze to Rani and smiles, making sure she caught the drift.

The majestic creatures swim around nonchalantly, almost making her giggle. Instead, he eyes tear up a bit. They're beautiful. Why would people be so afraid of them? It's very sad. They're jut like any other creatures – they kill humans because the have to. They don't just do it for fun. Sharks kill for food or to try and keep themselves safe. They don't know any better. Luckily, no tears fall from Rani's eyes. She doesn't want to be known to her boss as a cry-baby. Next is the fish tanks. Some ever have sea turtles in them. Rani's eyes are wide and blue as she attempts to get a good look at everything in there. Every fish is so different. So pretty. As are the sea turtles. Rani had a turtle as a pet when she was little. Her mother had found it on the side of the road. Rani was devastated when it died, but it lived a good, long life. “As you can see, this is the gift sop! Silver turns to her after her spiel, seeming to be looking for confirmation that Rani has absorbed all of the information. She has to let it sink in for a moment, but she soon nods. “I believe so. Is this where I'll be working, then?”

Silver's smile widens in appreciation. She believes that Rani will do perfectly for the job.

"For now yes, and if I get good reviews form customers or if I see you work hard, then you'll get promoted and work with the fishes. Maybe one day you can give tours to people!" Silver squeals in delight. Getting over excited is one of her biggest traits and hopes she doesn't annoy Rani with it.

A thought quickly crosses her mind and her smile widens even more, ignoring the pain of her face stretching out.

"You know Rani, every Saturday I take my boat out into the Ocean and look for new things to put into the Aquarium! Maybe one day you could come with me!" She hopes she says yes. The last person she brought was Clara and that didn't turn out so well. Maybe Rani will be different.

She never got to be around water back home. Her parents were too frightened. They barely trusted her with breathing when she just sat on a chair. They refused to think she could swim. Rani, however, knows what she wants. And that's to be in the water. Now that she's in a new town all by her lonesome, there's nobody to stop her. Which, honestly, makes her a bit frightened. But this was definitely her first step into independence. Getting a job where she wants to work. Not where anybody else wants her to. Rani's so caught up in her little mind rant that Silver's next words are a big slash of ice water to her face. She immediately puts her attention back to her boss.
