Personality~ \
Pit might just be one of the shyest people in Disnae.Pit is very self-conscious. He is hesitant to give his opinion, especially when it is opposing someone else's. This makes him much like a door mat, letting everyone step all over him to get what they want. Pit can rub off as a bit of a push-over since he won't do much to stand up for himself.
Patrick is also very considerate. Sometimes he has problems with thinking of other people before himself to the point that he puts himself in bad situations. If you're looking for someone reliable, Pit is the first place to go. He's incredibly helpful, and definately patient, so he'll get people what they want or where they need to be as efficiently as he can.
Pit is a brilliant mind. His creativity makes him easily come up with solutions to things and he often sees things deeper than they're meant to be. With his lack of confidence in himself, however, he is very outspoken and will usually choose not to say anything.
History ~ Maria and Henry Icarus were always, if you ask Pit, boring people. They lived in a little town and were religious fanatics. Then again, everybody in Angel Town was. Pit was born a second child, next to his older sister Angelica. When Patrick was born, his parents were so excited. They pondered many disciples to name him after, but it was Angelica that went right up to the child and said, "Hi Patrick." Thinking that their angel sent from Heaven was trying to send them a message, they name the child Patrick. Even from a young age, Patrick, who preferred to be called Pit, was different than all of the other little boys. He played with his sister constantly, letting her dress him up and put make-up on him. His parents were a bit worried, but hoped that it was only a phase.
When Pit turned fifteen, his parents had to go meet with the princepal. He refused to pray before lunch with all of the other kids one day after a certain class. He told his parents that it was okay because he wasn't planning on eating anyway. Apparently the religious discussion before lunch had upset him. Why? Because today was the day that the class discussed how wrong gay people were. During the whole class, he looked at the girls. Then he looked at the boys. But the boys made him feel more... Giddy. He liked wearing dresses. He liked putting make-up on. He had finally come to a realization. Patrick Noel Icarus, was gay. And his princepal wouldn't tolerate such a phase. Maria and Henry took their son home. For hours they tried to tell him how he shouldn't rebel. They read scriptures from the bible that pointed out how man and woman were made to be with each other; Not man and man. No matter what they said, he refused to tell them that he would change. He wouldn't change for anybody -- not his principal, not his parents, not even if God himself came down and shouted at him. Pit decided that if the supposedly loving deity couldn't love him how he is, then he didn't want to believe there was a God, and he told his parents that too. He ran up to the only person in the world that he though still loved him -- his sister.
Angelica not only completely understood him, she agreed with him. She told him that she knew he was gay from the moment she set eyes on him -- that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but she knew for a while -- and hadn't believed there was a god for a long time. She said that she'd been saving up for a very long time, and she thought she had enough money to leave.
And leave they did. They gathered up all of their money, a few choice items, got on a plane to leave the dreadful town. The siblings lived in a small town that was very open, and a kind couple that owned a store allowed them to go to a small public school in return for working in the store. They did this for a good three years, until the dreadful day that Angelica died. After a group of Catholics nearby heard that the town was housing many gay runaways. As Pit walked home from school, a gang of the Catholic boys started to beat him up. Pit just cried, curling into a ball and sobbed at them to stop. The boys taunted him, callling him many horrible names. Pit's friend -- and his crush -- ran as quickly as he could to get Angelica. When Angelica saw those boys, it was as if the devil himself possessed her. She beat the crap out of those boys. Beat one of them into a coma, three of them ran away, and one hid behind a bush. Angelica knelt beside Pit and smiled at him. She started a sentence, but never got to finish. "See Pit? I'll always be here fo--" The boy hiding pulled out a knife and stabbed Angelica in the back. The knife managed to hit some organ that ended up rupturing and killing her instantly. Pit was alone again.
He ran. Luckily for him, he already had all of his money in his backpack -- he had been planning on buying Angelica a birthday gift, since her birthday was in a few days-- so he ran right to the nearest airport. It was only an hour's run, and he boarded a plane to an island that he felt was far away from everything. To Diznae. He recently enrolled in school and is hoping to fit in.
