Personality~
When it comes to Miss Natalie Lions, there's quite a bit of layers to pull back. She isn't shy in the slightest, but she has multiple shades to her personality. Miss Natalie is naturally sassy, spunky, and sharp-tonged. She often forgets to think before speaking, and always has some sarcastic or smart remark to state when anyone speaks. She's been this way since she learned to speak, and finds enjoyment out of watching people grow annoyed or frustrated with her silly remarks. Of course, when it actually does matter, Natalie tries her hardest to not say anything too sassy. This usually resorts to her being quiet or talking a lot less, however.
Miss Natalie is also quite curious. Her curiosity gets her into a lot of trouble quite often. Especially since it's paired with her fearless and stubbornness. Nothing will change her mind once it's made up and she longs for a sense of adventure or excitement. It should be noted that this often proves her fiery, fierce attitude. She's quite the young lady; Natalie just wants to be unique.
History ~
Natalie Lions was a girl of much status growing up. Her family wasn't quite to the point of being considered 'rich,' but they were definitely well off. Her father was once involved in a very successful company. However, he passed away when Natalie was but five. Her mother still remained a part of that business, however, as it was run by her friend's. They were quite well-known around town. Natalie's mother would often work long hours to support them both, though, so it was for the best that most of the town knew them.
Growing up, Natalie was an only child. She always found ways to entertain herself, though. She'd leave the house for hours on end, running and exploring the world. She'd convince other children to go out with her to see the various sights around the city. She'd do anything and everything just to feel like it was an adventure, and she had a wondrous imagination. She was a sassy young lady with a talent for trouble.
But, at the same time, Natalie knew where the fine line was. She knew just how far to push before stopping, and she knew when it was time to head for home and to make other kids stop. She was a happy combination of mature and immature and she was just fine with that. It often worried her mother. Especially, when at the age of five and Natalie started school, she declared that she was changing her name. There were three other Natalie's in her grade, and she didn't feel that it made her as unique as she should be. So, she sat down with best friend and decided that she was going to make herself unique. She took the first sound in her first name 'Na' and the first of her middle name 'La' and put them together. Ever since then, Natalie has insisted on being called Nala, as she likes to stand out.
Anyhow, aside from that, her childhood was fairly basic. She had a single best friend and various other friends, her mother worked hard and cared much, and she was happy. Until around the time that Nala turned nine. Her mother was starting to get frustrated with the business owner now. He had managed it for most of Nala's lifetime, but it seemed that he and Nala's mother clashed more and more. And, the last straw seemed to be pulled when his nephew came up missing. The boy just so happened to be Nala's best friend, and she was instantly.
And, of course, Nala had to gain her fiery attitude from someone. Being rather high up in control, and since the business once belonged to her own best friends (conveniently, Nala's best friend's parents), her mother was not going to put up with this. Nala's mother spent the majority of her time now searching for the missing boy around town and fighting his uncle for control of the business. Nala often avoided the conflict there. She spent her time outside of the home and the business, hanging out in the fields. She taught herself to shoot and practiced with targets. She also loved to run, often racing the other children through the streets. Her childhood stayed basic, but was just lacking her her best friend.
This struggle between her mother and her boss went on for the next six years. Now, at fifteen, Nala's family has relocated to another part of Diznae. Her mother has been operating her share of the business out of their home now. Thoughts of finding Nala's childhood friend have long since passed. And now, well, Nala's a student at a newer school, Dreamworks High, in Diznae.
